Blurb: A fresh start…

It’s been three years since Serena King  learned to say no–no to the boys that were a desperate cry for help, no to the  extra weight she put on in self defense, and most of all no to the abuse that  has haunted her since she was fifteen. Now a sophomore in college, all she wants  is to be normal. The last thing she expects is a guy who can make her want,  well, everything.

A new  guy…

Alex Blackthorn is a bundle of contradictions,  a sexy dark haired badass who goes slow… deliciously slow. And despite the  iron will that has gotten her through the last few years, Serena finds herself  unable to ignore the heat that sizzles between them whenever they’re  together.

A dark  past…

Serena never thought she could be involved in  a relationship, but Alex makes her long for things she thought were out of her  reach forever. When he finds out her secret… when he finds out what she did to  keep herself sane… will he still want her, or he will treat her just like  everyone else?

And Alex has secrets of his own.

What they’re saying about it:

“I stayed up until 3am to finish this book—it’s that good! If you want  something that will pull at your heartstrings and make you root for the main  characters–this is it. Love! Love! Love! Kate Laurens has a bright future in  the New Adult Genre! I’m eagerly waiting her next book and can’t wait to see how  far she will go!”
Rachel Van Dyken, New York Times and USA Today  Bestselling Author of The Bet and the Devil Duke takes A Bride

“If I  ever did a New Adult romance novel, I hope to do as well as Kate Laurens’  debut!”
New York Times, USA Today and Amazon Bestselling Author Sara  Fawkes

It’s too bad art theft is not very high on the Los Angeles Police  Department’s list of priorities. So when Vivien is joined by a handsome  insurance agent eager to prevent the multi-million dollar claim from  being paid, they use any means necessary to track down the location of  the stolen paintings. But is Vivien willing to become a thief herself to get the paintings back? The answer leads her on a journey of intrigue,  deceit, crime and even love as she travels from Los Angeles to Paris and discovers the true brilliance she is capable of.

What they’re saying about it:

I totally loved it! defiantly not my usual type of read. I was a bit  skeptical at first but intrigued by the storyline. Leti Del Mar tells a  story that captures you and then doesn’t let go, I couldn’t put the  story down! Vivian is an amazing character who is so determined, witty,  hardheaded, but at the same time easily hurt. She blends well into the  world of art and security, and when she meets Walt/Nathan the book  couldn’t get any better!

But Colby has a secret in her past, a secret she’s not sure her daughter will ever forgive her for. And as for Ian McKinley, he seems too good to be true. If she had learned anything from the one time she had thrown her heart fully into love, it was that it didn’t last.

Harbouring an unmentionable secret is not an obvious route to maternal bliss……….or is it?
%
Ali Kirk’s had a bad year. An ambitious London barrister, her courtroom performances have started to slide and her obsession with having a baby is undermining her relationship with boyfriend Adam. Come January 1st she resolves that in the next twelve months her life has to turn around.
%
Life, however, is about to get worse. Busy juggling fertility tests with a high-profile celebrity case at the Old Bailey, Ali starts burning the midnight oil with powerfully handsome colleague Anthony de Klerk. On a night that she’s slipped on some sexy underwear to boost her flagging self-esteem, Ali and Anthony finally end up in bed together. And then she falls pregnant. Ali starts fighting her very own secret paternity suit – who is the father, Adam or Anthony?
^
En route to motherhood there are highs and lows, tears and tantrums, dalliances and denials. And the ultimate, uncomfortable realisation that only one thing will set Ali free: the truth.

What they’re saying about it:

It’s entertaining, and I like the author’s voice in this book. I always like to read something a little different than most books in this genre, and this was definitely different (in a good way, of course).

I LOVED this book. It was so good that the last bit kept me awake way past my bedtime – it was impossible to put down! The story was well written and the characters easy to identify with straight away. It was a great story with some interesting little twists and a realistic take on modern day life and all the expectations that go with that. A mixture of detective, love, intrigue and suspense! It’s the sort of book that makes you question your own morals and principals! What would I have done in Ali’s situation – would I have got into it in the first place??

One day, Callie Vanetta receives devastating news…

She needs a liver transplant. But her doctors warn that, in her case, the chances of finding a compatible donor aren’t good.

Determined to spend whatever time she has left on her own terms, she keeps the diagnosis to herself and moves out to her late grandparents’ farm. She’s always wanted to live there. But the farm hasn’t been worked in years and she begins to fear she can’t manage it, that she’ll have to return to town.

One night, a stranger comes knocking at her door…

He’s an attractive and mysterious drifter by the name of Levi McCloud, and he offers to trade work for a few nights’ shelter. Callie figures she doesn’t have anything to lose. He needs a place to stay until he can fix his motorcycle; she needs an extra pair of hands. The arrangement seems ideal until what was supposed to be temporary starts to look more and more permanent. Then she realizes she doeshave something to lose—her heart. And, although he doesn’t yet know it, Levi stands to lose even more.

What they’re saying about it:

The characters’ “heartwarming romance develops slowly and sweetly. The sex is fantastic, but the best part is how Simon and Gail tease and laugh as they grow closer.” -Publishers Weekly on When Lightning Strikes

“Novak delivers a lively, sparkling series debut…romantic gold by a superior novelist. The love story blossoms naturally, which is rare nowadays…. Additionally, by populating Whiskey Creek with realistic characters-instead of ‘quirky’ caricatures-Novak ensures that readers will eagerly await their next visit.” -RT Book Reviews on When Lightning Strikes

When down-on-herself Rebecca Fowley traipses after a small, intriguing insect and on to the private property of heart-hardened rancher Elias Dellin, confusion and attraction abound. Rebecca is certain that she’s just become turned around in the brush by the highway and Elias is just as sure that she’s 45 miles away from the nearest town. Convinced to return with him to the family farm, Rebecca encounters Elias’ all-seeing but completely blind grandmother, Aurora, and a scene right out of an old western. But her first assumptions that the family is part of a strange society of re-enactors are wiped clean when Elias adamantly assures her that the year is 1843. Rebecca knows this can’t be true; when she parked her car to stretch her legs it was 1999. But just because their birthdays are separated by 165 years doesn’t mean it can’t work, especially with a couple of ethereal beings on their side.
What they’re saying about it:

“‘Just a Matter of Time’ is a wonderful adult fantasy that whisks you away into a world that is amazingly easy to get lost in. The characters are real, the emotions are both raw and lovely, and the descriptions are so breathtaking that you can see, feel and taste this delicious novel enfold you within every step of the journey. I found myself completely involved with the characters and whooping with joy at the end…my only warning is that you will fall helplessly in love with Rebecca and Elias and want to reread the entire tale; these characters become friends and it’s hard to let them go”

The Embodied glide through the busy streets of New York, uttering barely a sound.

Their eerie beauty comes from their perfect symmetry. Male, female, old, young…their faces are always absolutely symmetrical. Are they flawless humans, the epitome of evolution? Are they a genetically modified super-race? Are they extra-terrestrials? Once prep school student Kari Marriner becomes aware of their existence, she is driven to find the answer and finds herself ensnared in a web that reaches further than she could possibly have imagined.

Kari’s earliest memory is her father’s death in a car crash back in small-town Wisconsin. Now, 12 years later, her mother has been hired by a pseudo-religious organization in Manhattan called the Temple of Truth (a.k.a. the ToT). At Chelsea Prep, Kari develops a crush on classmate Cruz. But when she realizes that Noon, another attractive guy at school, is involved with the ToT, her curiosity gets the better of her.

Kari stumbles upon a secret tunnel leading from her apartment to another in the building, where an ancient book holds images she can scarcely believe, and a cavernous room contains… something inexplicable. As Kari pieces together the incredible evidence, she discovers that the ToT is run by other-worldly beings called The Embodied who influence human behavior and have established a global long-term human breeding program. But why? And what is her role in all this?
Just as she starts wondering whether the love she feels for Cruz is genuine or if her emotions are being controlled by The

Embodied, her mother is kidnapped and Kari has to figure out who is human, who is Embodied, and who she can count on to help rescue her mother.

Silent Symmetry is the exciting first novel in JB Dutton’s EMBODIED trilogy. The second installment, Starley’s Rust, will be published in late 2013.

What they’re saying:

“This is a fantasy of splendid proportions and the remaining two novels in this series not only have a lot to live up to but equally have a magnificent foundation from which to build on.”

Karen is a young widow, still mourning her husband ten months after his death.  Financial difficulties force her to work long hours at a job she hates. The one  bright spot in her life is her little daughter, Cindi.

One morning, Karen  decides to pick herself up and start again. The first step is to go back to  college. If she finishes her degree, she can have the career she wants, as a  teacher of French. The problem is: she can’t afford to take time off, unless she  finds a cheaper place to live. A solution arrives in the form of her old friend,  Jim. He’s on a tight budget, too, and he needs someone to share his apartment.  Karen foresees difficulties, if she moves in with a man. Jim, though, reassures  her. There’s no chemistry, no spark. It should be easy to live together as “just  friends.”

Thinking matters over, Karen agrees. After all, Jim is the kind of  man she calls a “Mr Nice Guy”—good-natured and funny, but not physically  attractive.

Soon she and her daughter have settled in. Life is pleasant, but  dull, until the employment agency calls with an ideal assignment: six days at a  legal conference in Venice. In that dream-like city, she meets Mark Lebrun, a  man she sees as a fairy-tale prince. Handsome and rich, he makes life easy for  Karen. Unfortunately, her friend, Manon, dislikes him. And Karen herself begins  to notice flaws in his character. But she confronts Mark and he promises to  change.

In the meantime, Jim has been dating Manon. She encourages him to  lose weight and work out at the gym. Soon women begin to notice him. And Karen  is one of them.

As problems worsen with Mark, she wonders: has she been  looking for love in the wrong place? And when she decides what she really wants,  will it be too late?

What they’re saying about it:

“Karen’s Best Friend was a  wonderful story of how the love between friends developed into a deep love  between a man and a woman.

Originally released as an ‘Amazon Hot New Reads’ four-part series and described as ‘Fifty Shades of Royalty’, ‘Asteria’ is now available as a full-length (108,000 word) novel.

Lover. Slave. Princess.

UN translator Lucy Snow sneaks into an embassy party…and meets Prince Jagor, heir to the throne of Asteria. He’s mysterious, charming and supremely powerful, and the chance encounter turns into a steamy kiss in one of the embassy bedrooms.

Their initial tryst isn’t enough for the Prince: he offers her a job as his personal aide.  Not only is she now conducting a secret romance under the watchful eyes of his retinue: Lucy is only too aware that in the wealthy European kingdom of Asteria, women are ‘owned’ by their lovers.

As the couple battle to keep their love a secret, Jagor shows Lucy a submissive side to herself that leaves her breathless: but is she ready to accept the Prince’s collar and the life in Asteria that comes with it?  When their relationship becomes public, can she survive the glare of the spotlight?  And, as political unrest in Asteria threatens the entire royal family, exactly how far will she go for love?

What they’re saying:

The worldly style of this author drew me in…the sophisticated story of sexual desire in an original setting kept me there.

Oh my I loved this book! I fell in love with Jagor & could totally see Asteria’s ways.”

“The prince in the title is seriously hot.”
