After tragedy tears Jamie Brandt’s life apart, her only goal is to finish high school so she can leave her small hometown behind. In the meantime, riding her horse is her main source of solace, until a mysterious stable hand shows up at the barn. There’s something not quite right about the handsome new employee, and the more Jamie sees of him, the more determined she becomes to figure out what he’s hiding.

Dothan Reed came to historic Huntsville, Maryland, for one reason–revenge. But his plan can’t move forward until he finds the missing piece he needs to enhance his powers. As the only surviving Nephilim, Dothan is not only weaker than full-blooded angels; his forbidden lineage makes him an outcast in both worlds. When he discovers Jamie is the key to locating an ancient weapon, he’s forced to interact with a vulnerable human girl–a task that becomes more appealing with each encounter.

Jamie soon learns Dothan isn’t the only one with a dark secret. Each new revelation further threatens her safety, and Dothan’s betrayal shatters her heart. Forgiving him seems impossible, but the thought of turning her back on him is equally painful.

As their connection deepens, Dothan will have to make his own difficult choice: continue on his path of vengeance, or protect the girl he loves. And when Dothan’s actions thrust Jamie into an unforeseen danger, he must seek the help of his enemy…or risk losing her forever.

What they’re saying about it:

“As I started reading about Jamie and Dothan, I kept trying to figure out exactly what Dothan was and how Jamie fit into the story. When it was revealed how the two of them were tied together, I had that ah-ha moment and could not believe it–but it all fell into place and made sense. Although Jamie and Dothan are young, the love they shared was amazing. Divine Fall is at the top of my must-share list…Kathryn Knight is an author I am always confident in recommending.” – A Novel Review (5 stars)

This is not your typical love story. It’s not so black and white. Lines are crossed. Walls are smashed. Good becomes bad. Bad becomes very, very good.

Shayda Hijazi – the perfect wife, the perfect mother, the perfect daughter. For thirty-three years, she has played by the rules, swallowing secrets, burying dreams and doing whatever it takes to anchor her family. Shayda Hijazi is about to become her own worst enemy.

Troy Heathgate – untamed, exhilarating, dangerous; a man who does exactly as he pleases. Life bends to his will. Until he comes across the one thing he would give it all up for, but can never have.

Born on the same day in opposite corners of the world, their lives collide. And nothing is ever the same again.

CONTENT WARNING: This novel deals with infidelity and an attempted rape. If you are not comfortable with these subjects, this may not be the book for you.

Genre: Thriller, Action & Adventure
Price: $2.99
Where to Get It:

“It was just after midnight when the girl in the blue diamond necklace fell out of the sky.”

In Hollywood, an ex-con movie producer, fresh out of San Quentin, is lucky if he can get a valet to take his car at The Ivy. Teddy Chessman got his own studio.

Why? Because Teddy controls the most important motion picture property to hit town since agents were invented. And attached to this expected critical and financial bonanza is the biggest female action star in the world, Valentine Jones.

But good plans die horrible deaths, and foolproof ones, worse. And now, the guy who loaned Teddy the money to buy the joint–Rail Black, a former Delta Force operator with a private fortune–is forced to take possession of Teddy’s dream. And the bad news is just beginning.

Exploding from ninety years in the past–when gangsters and movie tycoons roamed Hollywood and scratched each other’s wallets–Rail is sucked into a quicksand of unsettled scores, duplicity and death, where a couple of billion dollars in boxoffice seems like small change.

From Southern California to New York, Venice, Havana, Mexico and Cyprus, Rail must disentangle the past from the present and come to terms with his feelings for Barrie Fontaine, a long dead woman–and extraordinarily brave pilot–he has never met.

And somewhere, out there, is Matty Aspirins, a hitman on a mission all his own.

Welcome to Beverly Hills is Burning.

There will be no intermission.

“Neil Russell is the king of adventure thrillers… BEVERLY HILLS IS BURNING is a tour-de-force of hot action, cool suspense, and steamy sex. …a once-in-a-lifetime ride with producers, screenwriters, Mafia hitmen, and money. Lots of money. You’ll love this book.”

Gayle Lynds
New York Times Bestselling Author
The Book of Spies

“I just want to tell you what a joy it was to dig into BEVERLY HILLS IS BURNING. I loved the way the two plot lines dovetailed so effortlessly. Your knowledge of old Hollywood made my favorite era in the town come to life.

I laughed out loud so many times, I couldn’t keep count! Your dialogue so reminds me of Raymond Chandler. I felt he was your “ghost.” Every time I came across one of your many metaphorical gems, I had to post it on Facebook.

I’ve got you up there as one of my five favorite writers (including Chandler, as you already know); toss in F.Scott, Le Carre, and Martin Cruz Smith, and there you have my perfect poker game.

And either you or Chandler would be winner take all, no doubt about it.

Seriously, you are my new fave regarding dialogue. Smooth as butter, true to character, no matter the gender, personality, or the time period. You had me at the very first line–and kept me until the last word.

Just hope you’re working on the next in the series.”

INNOCENT_Kindle_CoverINNOCENT by Callie James
Genre: Young Adult (Teen) Romance
Price: $ .99
Where to Get It:

Will Moore has been Missy Jamison’s best friend for years, and until recently, she hadn’t considered going “there” with him for fear of losing the only relationship she trusts. But senior year is almost over and dating other people hasn’t worked out, not with Missy’s crazy home life constantly pushing her further into Will’s safer world, making her attraction to her BFF more difficult to ignore.

When a forgery incident at school lands Missy under house arrest and banned from spending time with Will, she’s unable to ignore her dysfunctional home life any longer. In a desperate attempt for self-preservation, Missy finds herself back with Will and this time things are different.

But the direct violation of her mother’s edict proves the perfect catalyst to push her pill-popping mother over the edge and Missy’s home life past the point of no return. Now her only chance for normalcy will require Missy to ask herself if staying silent for so many years was truly about protecting herself from her past, or more about protecting a mother who never protected her.

I enjoyed reading this well written book…so much so, that it was one of those books I couldn’t put down and therefore ended up reading through the night. The characters are well defined; I cared about the emotions of, and situations pertaining to, Missy and Will, and couldn’t wait to find out what was going to become of them. Callie James writes with passion, enthusiasm…and humor. Sprinkled throughout some serious topics are some hysterical gems that kept a smile on my face throughout the seriousness. Serious topics were handled realistically, and thoughtfully. I highly recommend this read! (Amazon – Kristi)

I loved this book by Callie James! I read her other book, Student Bodyguard For Hire, and loved it too. I was so excited when I found out this book was out. I completely connected with the characters and read almost the entire book in one day. Once I got into it, I just couldn’t put it down! I highly recommend this book! I don’t want to spoil anything, but make sure you have a fresh box of tissue with you when reading. (Amazon – Catherine Nicole Diane Duke)

Price: $2.99
Where to Get It:

Virginia had experienced the power and direction of the five stones; now, she would need to use them again.
For entirely different reasons.

Keeping her marriage together was not the only thing on her mind. Having a child wasn’t going to happen in the usual way, and Virginia was determined that adoption was the answer. If she did all of the right things, said all of the right words; if she remembered the five stones in her journey to get her child, God would surely have to answer her.

It wouldn’t be too difficult.

What they’re saying about it:

“The Feast is a book that manages to both instruct and entertain. I found the book thought provoking and a pleasure to read. I thoroughly recommend it to all those readers looking for a book of quality, one that is worth the effort to purchase and read.

The guide at the end of the book is an excellent reference that contains a wealth of wisdom.

Too many books today are poorly written in the telling style and lack substance. The Feast is not one of those. It’s a book which I’m sure makes the author proud and is a worthwhile addition to the works of Kathryn Elizabeth Jones.”
